🎨 Interactive Overlay

The Interactive Overlay widget allows viewers to draw, place images, and interact directly with your stream in real-time.


Overview

Viewers gain temporary access to a canvas overlay where they can draw, add images, and create visual content that appears on your stream.

Default Cost: 5 Juice per second of access time


How It Works

  1. Viewer types: !draw to request access
  2. Juice is deducted for the access time
  3. A drawing interface opens for the viewer
  4. Their drawings appear on your overlay in real-time
  5. Access expires after the set duration

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Enable Interactive Overlay

  1. Go to Widgets → Interactive Overlay in your dashboard
  2. Toggle Enabled to ON
  3. Set your cost per second
  4. Set the access duration

Step 2: Add Overlay to OBS

  1. Copy the Interactive Overlay URL
  2. In OBS, add a Browser Source
  3. Paste the URL
  4. Set dimensions: 1920 x 1080 (full screen recommended)
  5. Position as a top layer so drawings are visible

Step 3: Configure Permissions

  1. Decide if you want to allow image uploads
  2. Toggle Enable Image accordingly
  3. Consider content moderation needs

Viewer Experience

Getting Access

  1. Type !draw in chat
  2. If Juice is sufficient, a link/interface is provided
  3. Access begins immediately

Drawing Interface

Viewers see:

  • Color picker
  • Brush size selector
  • Drawing canvas
  • Countdown timer for remaining time
  • Clear/undo buttons

When Time Expires

  • Drawing access ends immediately
  • Viewer must use !draw again for more time
  • Previous drawings remain on canvas (until cleared)

Moderation

Clearing the Canvas

As a streamer, you can clear the overlay:

  1. Use the dashboard Clear Canvas button
  2. All drawings are instantly removed

Content Concerns

To prevent inappropriate content:

  1. Disable image uploads if needed
  2. Keep the overlay visible so you can react quickly
  3. Have clear rules about appropriate drawings
  4. Be ready to clear the canvas

Restricting Access

If a viewer misuses the overlay:

  1. You can timeout/ban them from chat
  2. Consider temporarily disabling the widget
  3. Clear the canvas
